The trouble with schedules is they can both be great and as you said almost a prison (especially as a runner)
They obviously keep you organised but often to a point where you stick with it awhile and it basically puts you on auto pilot something you also mentioned.
Breaking free from a schedule also feels great but soon you wish you had the organisation it brings.

Seeing your photo of Areches was a surprise for me. I thought it was more like Le Tour, where I live, but now I see that Areches is way bigger!
